Vans x Curtis Kulig "Love Me" Footwear Spring/Summer 2013

Vans Shoes has just recently announced that for it's Spring/Summer 2013 Line that they have teamed up with one of the most prolific street artists on their upcoming collaboration. Curtis Kulig aka "Love Me" has joined forces with Vans to brings us the Vans x Curtis Kulig "Love Me" Collection, slated for 2013. Curtis has been spreading his "Love Me" love since the late 90's. Which initially started out as youthful adolescent aggression and calls for attention. Since then, "Love Me" has put in work in every major city. In the form of stickers or slap tags, prints, wheatpastes, graffiti and the overall dominance of entire sides of bulidings, roof-tops and billboards with his simple message, that he really just wants you to love him and share in on some of his love & happiness.

Recently finishing up a Spring 2012 collaboration with Obey Clothing last Valentines Day. It is nice to see Curtis take his work to apparel and footwear. Forever solidifying his mark on Pop culture, street wear, skateboarding and street art. The "Vans x Love Me" Collection brings us three different styles of Vans. Slip-on, Authentic and Sk8-Hi are the models chosen for Curtis's classic and bold "Love Me" script. Keeping the colorways simple with just red, black & white, these shoes are sure to please the disconcerting art snob, hipster skater or street art enthusiast. Here is a sneak peak at what next year has to offer.
