Street Art: Downtown Los Angeles
I recently had the immense pleasure to stumble upon this section of Downtown Los Angeles. What awaited me at the blocks between 1st & 3rd at Garvey was a Street Artist dream, entire buildings used as canvases! Complete "Top to Bottom" burners and pieces could be seen as far as the naked eye could behold by some of the most renowned & notorious graffiti and street artists Los Angeles has even seen or has to offer. Here are some selected shots of what I feel are truly, Kings of Kings...

"Ragged Kingdom" by Jamie Reid
Anarchy in L.A.!!!
British artist & anarchist Jamie Reid touches down from across the pond at Subliminal Projects in Los Angeles for "Ragged Kingdom". A solo exhibit that shows some of Jamie's best known works as well as some new ones that include a collaboration with Shepard Fairey. Jamie's style of ransom note newspaper cut-outs was made famous when he created all the original cover art for the Sex Pistols. Covers include: "Never Mind the Bollocks, God Save the Queen, Pretty Vacant, Holidays in the Sun" and countless other snapshots and DIY collages that helped define a early Punk Rock generation. "Ragged Kingdom" kicks off the first show of the it's 2012 season at Subliminal Projects. Below are selected samples of Jamie's work from the opening reception on March 16th. 2012

Jeremy Scott x Adidas Summer 2012 Line
March 3rd, 2012 brought the highly anticipated release of famed contour fashion designer Jeremy Scott's collaboration with Adidas. Jeremy has partnered with Adidas Originals for some time. This year brings no exception to his playful, colorful and unique spin on footwear to apparel. This past Sat. on March 10th, Mr. Scott was on-hand for a "meet & greet" at the Adidas Original Store on Melrose to help kick off his new Summer line.
