"Snow White & The Huntsman" Pop-Up Art Show

With the much anticipated release of Universal Pictures new film "Snow White & The Huntsman" featuring Charlize Theron, Kristen Stewart & Chris Hemsworth which opens today, fans of the new movie in the surrounding L.A. area were provided a unique and rare opportunity to experience a "Pop-up" art show, with works and pieces done by various artists inspired by the new film. Venue was nothing more than a vacant space on Melrose in Hollywood, participating artists easily transformed the empty void into scenes and samples from this classic fairy tale with a twist!

Below are samples from this eclectic pop-up art show. Highlight of the show was a 20 foot spary painted mural on a over-sized mirror by famed Los Angeles graffiti street artist "Mear One"  of CBS and WCA crews. I have personally been a fan of Mear since the early nineties and it's a always a great treat to see what this graf mastermind does next.

As always, I wasn't disappointed...

Costumes worn by Kristen Stewart and Chris Hemsworth designed by Collen Atwood were on display, including this suite of armor. Collen did all the costume work for Johnny Depp's new movie "Dark Shadows" in addition to his other up-coming release "The Thin Man".

The "Snow White & The Huntsman" Pop-up Experience is a very limited engagement of just 3 weekends only. Past dates were May 19th, 20th, 26th and 27th. With the final showing this weekend, June 2nd and 3rd from 11:00am to 4pm.  Lucky attendees will have a chance to get a free t-shirt with a custom silkscreen on the spot with a choice of various silhouetted icons and avatars from the movie. Other brought in items like canvas hand-bags can be silkscreen as well with admission being free.
